I have several brushes of this type that are much longer bristle yet come to a razor sharp point that eagerly springs back once pressure is released. The advantage with this medium sized stiff brush is comfort while writing and a greater measure of control. I had recently left my wolf-hairs for softer brushes but I can't put this one down. Disadvantages are increased need to fill the brush while writing; it simply doesn't hold as much ink. However for greater comfort and control I can take that one inconvenience! I will definitely be buying a couple more of them.
