Great brush for fine lines and holds a good amount of ink. Similar to a rigger for western watercolor brushes, but since it has a wider belly, can hold even more ink while capable of equivalent detail. This brush can lay down really intense colors since it releases more liquid/ink than synthetics.

This brush responds to movement smoothly and dispenses ink perfectly. Must have!! Wish I would have purchased this one a while back.

If there's a brush that proves Master Xu Laosan's skill as a brushmaker, this is it! I have an arsenal of western watercolor brushes that can't even come close to making as fine & delicate a line as this brush, and even if they can, they're usually synthetic. It makes some very interesting ax strokes, rose thorn shapes, twigs, & leaf veins. Very versatile. Treat it respectfully (not heavy-handed) & it'll show you what it can do for you. Thank you Master Xu & Henry for making these available in the States & elsewhere!

My favorite brush for Baimiao. This is an expressive tool, quick and surprisingly precise in corners for its length. The true strength and value of this brush is ink/pigment holding capacity. The sheep hair allows an artist to complete large areas without having to re-load.
