The Teng paper is a kind of specialty paper for seal copy and transfer. This paper is made of refined wild vine or rattan bark fibers. The lianshi paper is as thin as Teng with supreme toughness, it is mainly used in seal carving for design copy, transferring, rubbing, and may also used to repair paintings and calligraphy and ancient books. It's a must-have paper for Seal engraving artists.

How to design and transfer your seal design with Lianshi Paper:

1. Sand off the wax on the bottom of seal tone.
2. Cut a piece of paper 1" larger than the seal stone and draw the shape of the stone, and your design with pencil 
3. Confirm your design with a small calligraphy brush with fresh black ink 
4. After the ink dries, flip the lianshi paper with design side down onto the stone
5. Dampen the Lianshi with a piece of damp napkin 
6. Put a piece of dry napkin on top and rub it with a smooth and hard object such as the handle of a toothbrush 
7. Repeat step 5 & 6 
8. Lift the Lianshi paper to release the mirrored design
9. Enhance the design with a black marker.
