Introducing our Side Inscription Carving Service! Give your seal a personal touch with custom writing on the sides, known as 邊款 biankuan in Chinese. Our experienced carvers will inscribe your chosen information, such as the artist's name, date, recipient's name, studio name, or reason for making the seal. This service showcases the carver's calligraphy skills, as the side carving can be done in any calligraphic style and does not need to be reversed. Regular script, a style developed specifically for knife and stone carving, is the most common style for side inscriptions. Traditionally, side inscriptions start on the left side and continue clockwise, covering the left, top, right, bottom, and flat top of the seal stone as necessary. For irregularly shaped stones, the inscriptions can be carved into any available surface, but typically start on the left side.
