Note: Early Autumn was inspired by the Early Spring painting by Guo Xi of the Northern Song Dynasty. The paper I used was BHA mulberry #1. First of all, I sprayed the paper and applied a thin layer of a color wash with umber and indigo, blocking out the composition with a large superwash made of goat hair brush. After it dries, I used a small wolf hair brush to draw the trees, and rocks with ink, Then, I colored it with western watercolors(Denial Smith and Holbein).
