Loving these brushes. Only took 2 or 3 days to receive them. Using them with my watercolors on watercolor paper. I?m teaching myself but the brushes are working great. They all come to a very sharp point. I?ve only used them for 3 days,but very impressed. I also noticed that when I clean them they seem to release the watercolor much easier than my squirrel and synthetic blends do. I have to wash my other brushes several times before they r clean. I hang them to dry and they dry very quickly. Would definitely recommend them.
Great set of brushes at a a great price. If you are starting out, you cannot go wrong this this kit. Even if you already have some Chinese painting brushes, you'll be surprised at the quality of these 3 brushes. They are well made, have great bounce and responsiveness, and are high quality, which is not easy to find. I love painting bamboo and the bamboo orchid brush in this kit words wonders, almost like a magic brush! The large white brush works so well on 'softer' strokes, and the small one just adds the final touch/detail with great gusto! (Off the computer and back to my painting!!!!:)

I bought two of the soft sheep hair brushes and just left them hanging for a long time. Looking for a new calligraphy brush, I picked up one of these sheep hair and soaked off the glue.
I am very impressed! This brush appears to be 100% animal hair. I detest nylon mixed hair brushes.....this is just my opinion. But finding true high quality brushes is not easy. It behaved beautifully with the ink, the tip is sharp for small scale work, and the belly is fat for larger scale work. Nice, responsive brush I recommend to both beginners and beyond. 😃 Buy two!
I love this set of brushes. It's a very wise choice for those like me just beginning to learn Chinese painting. Since receiving, I've found myself reaching for the sheep hair brush the most. We've bonded, so to speak. I love it so much I may order another just to have on hand for when I wear my first one out. Yes, I use it that much!
Also, don't let the price fool you; they are high quality. I enjoy using these far more than ANY of my western watercolor brushes. Give them a try & break into this beautiful & ancient art.
A very nice starter set of brushes. Very good buy for one like me who is just begining to learn this art and doesn't quite know what brushes are needed to begin.
